According to a report in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Merrimack will travel to Alaska next season to play in the annual Brice Alaska Gold Rush Tournament.
Merrimack will join North Dakota, Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks in the tournament.
The Warriors opened the 2006-07 season in Alaska, playing in the Frontier Classic against Anchorage and Colorado College. Nebraska-Omaha was also in that tournament. The Warriors also traveled to Alaska in 200, playing Michigan and Michigan State and also went in 1990-91. There were also several trips to Alaska when the Warriors were an Independent.
